Committee Reports:
Nominating – New handouts on committee positions.

Fellowship – Fellowship dinner on the 21st of June.

Deacons -  Met for four Sunday morning for pyayer and also met on four Tuesday mornings for share and prayer time.  We held two Deacon’s meetings in June.  Benevolence needs have been met in some situations.  Better family ministry is still a concern for us.  Because term limits won’t allow a person to held the chairman of deacons position for more than two consecutive years, elections wee held and Jeff Chorpening is now chairman of deacons this church year and Lyle Jones was re-elected as vice-chairman and John Stewart is secretary/treasurer for the deacon fund.       John Stewart

Constitution and By-laws – There were no new proposals to consider and the committee did not meet.      John Stewart

Kitchen – Fellowship dinner; Men’s prayer breakfast, and VBS.  Carol Firestone

AWANA – No AWANA activity to report

Evangelism – No Report

Old Business:
Lyle Jones stated that the trustees cleaned up the Shack to prepare for painting.

Pam Hutcheson indicated we have discontinued the fax phone line.  Just paid Lexar internet $399 for a year.  If averaged on a monthly basis comes out cheaper than Co-Mo Connect would be.

In lieu of Dorothy Dille giving a synopsis of the New Orleans trip, Pastor Marc did.  Arrived Saturdaynight; Church Sunday; block party Monday, also fixed siding on a house; Tuesday went to the French Quarter – handed out sack lunches and tracts; Wednesday went under the I-10 bridge and served hot lunches; Thursday some went to the ladies homeless shelter and some helped build a ramp for a disabled man. Friday, headed home.

New Business:
Carol Firestone asked if anything was going to be done about the weeds in the parking lot.  Jeff said he had sprayed the previous morning.

Dyan Dunsworth asked if we are still members of the Chamber as we haven’t been getting their e-mails.  Pam indicated she had just paid the bill and yes we are still members.  Dyan to call them next week to see why we don’t receive e-mails anymore.

Lyle Jones asked about the Hillbilly Fair and what are we serving?  Pastor Marc said we have to serve pizza.  Carol Firestone said she would order the pizza, they’ll deliver.

Lyle and Jim Clary mentioned about paying someone to mow our lawn.  Jeff Chorpening agreed to pay for one week.  Pastor Marc said he and his kids will mow it and John and Bruce would help at times.

Sarah Faber applied for membership in our congregation – voted in.

Jeff Chorpening made a motion to adjourn; all seconded.

Respectfully Submitted,

Dyan Dunsworth
