Business Meeting
December 10, 2017
There were 14 members in attendance. Members broke into groups of three for prayer.
Pastor James Butterfield called the meeting to order.
Dyan Dunsworth made a motion to accept the November minutes. Lyle Jones seconded. Passed. Dorothy Dille made a motion to accept the budget. John Mead seconded. Passed.
Committee Reports:
Trustees: Bradley Davis changed the light bulbs to LED throughout the church and changed the plug outside the church. Lyle Jones
Deacons: We met four Sunday mornings for prayer and met one time for our monthly meeting. Lyle Jones.
Audio-Visual: No activity to report. John Stewart
Fellowship: Watched comedians on the 4th with 13 people in attendance. Karen Moore
Music: Four Sundays. One special by Bruce and Karen Moore. Karen Moore
Kitchen: Fellowship dinner on November 19th. Carol Firestone
Floral: Changed flowers in the front of the church. Carol Firestone
Historian: I have the latest book at home to update. Carol Firestone
Telephone: There were four calls in November. Dyan Dunsworth
Constitution & Bylaws: No activity to report. John Stewart
Evangelism: No activity. Dorothy Dille
Visitation: There were six contacts and 2 cards sent. Dorothy Dille
Ushers: There were four Sundays with an average of 30 members and two visitors. John Mead
Baptism: November 19th Dennis and Liz Irwin were baptized. Bradley Davis
Children’s Ministry: Had three new youth and an average of 15 in attendance. Dorthy Dille
Nominating: Nothing to report. Vickie Locke
Sunday School: 35 currentrly enrolled. Average attendance of 25 with 24 being members and 1 visitor. Darron Locke
Pastor Search: Met twice in November; looked at ten resumes. Dorothy Dille
Old Business:
Carpet Project is on hold.
Budget and Finance Committee to meet tonight to vote on Women’s Ministry funding. Karen Moore made a motion that we pay the $200 for the video for the next women’s Bible study. Dorothy Dille seconded. Passed
Budget & Finance will also review line items on the budget sheet and make some changes.
Jeff Chorpening has volunteered to plow the parking lot this winter free of charge. This does not include the sidewalks.
The new computer for the office has already been voted on; need to move forward with the purchase.
New Business:
Jennifer Delp would like to make French doors for the nursery and paint them. Marie Mead made a motion that we allow her to do so; Karen Moore seconded. Passed
Dyan Dunsworth indicated the Girl Scouts want to use our kitchen one Tuesday in January and made a motion that we allow them to do so. Marie Mead seconded. Passed
Karen Moore made a motion to adjourn; Cheryl Jones seconded. All adjourned
