Business Minutes for December 14, 2014

There were 15 members present.
Pastor Marc read out of Luke 2:1-20

June Hackathorn made a motion to accept the minutes as written, seconded by Jeff Chorpening. Voted and passed.

Budget & Finance: no report, Pam Hutcheson

Nominating: all positions are filled, Karen Moore

Fellowship: November 8 we had a movie night, November 16 we had a fellowship dinner, November 22 we had to reschedule the chili cook off and game night to a later date, Karen Moore

Constitution & Bylaws: had no business and did not meet in November, John Stewart

Deacon: met for 5 Sunday morning prayers and had a regular deacon's meeting in November. We also met for 5 Tuesdaymornings for share and prayer time, John Stewart

Baptism: no report, Bradley Davis

Kitchen: no report, Doug Riggs

Sunday School:

Historian: nothing to report, Carol Firestone

Nursery: there were 5 Sundays, total of 10 kids, average of 2 kids each week, Hazel Stewart

Audio: no report, Dennis Firestone

Telephone: no report, Dyan Dunsworth

Music: we had no specials during November, worship was directed to GOD, each Sunday morning and evening in November, Karen Moore

Media: nothing to report, Michele Chorpening

Old Business:

John Stewart mentioned the older couple, for the prayer booth at the Hill Billy Fair. Karen Moore said it would take away from the shack. John Stewart said what is the time frame we need to let them know, Pastor Marc Knapp said before September, we need to think and pray about the prayer booth.

Karen Moore asked if we are short on bills, are we not looking at a van, Pastor Marc Knapp said yes we are still looking. John Stewart said there was a 2001 Dodge 15 passenger van for $2600, didn't have enough time to bet on it, the other vans have been junk.

Pastor Marc Knapp mentioned Christy Fahrer finished the paintings (nativity scene)and are done and put up, Pastor Marc Knapp said good job on them.

New Business:

Pastor Marc Knapp asked if we wanted to have Christmas eve service, several people said yes, Pastor Marc Knapp said 6 PMfor the service then.

Karen Moore mentioned a New Year's eve party at the church, we would have games and snacks.

Jeff Chorpening said we have the fellowship dinner next Sunday, do we want to get chicken, and do we want the church to pay for it or get donations. Jeff Chorpening and Carol Firestone are going to pay for the chicken.

Karen Moore made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Carol Firestone.

John Stewart closed us in prayer.
